Domain URL Redirection

A case where a domain (example.com) is contracted and used solely for redirection.

The actual setup method varies depending on how you plan to use the domain, so the approach differs based on your operational goals. If you also plan to use custom domain email (e.g., [email protected]), it’s recommended to sign up for a separate web hosting service and link it for management.

These days, there are many free rental servers without ads, and you can even set up domain email without any operational costs—in a sense, you have endless options.

Because the services are all available, what you choose is what matters.

This project did not require domain email issuance, so we avoided using a rental server and instead set up redirects within the free service’s scope. We also configured SSL settings to ensure automatic forwarding even during HTTPS connections, successfully redirecting access to the specified URL upon completion.

It’s reassuring to forward all four patterns, including those with and without www.
